“Our trainers are to…”Former Pakistani wicketkeeper makes a massive revelation about the decline of fast bowlers in Pakistan

Pakistan team has been facing massive criticism amid their horrible performance against Bangladesh in the first test which was being played in Rawalpindi. Many Former players have slammed the team with regards to both their batting and bowling performance.

Adding to that list is Former Pakistani wicketkeeper Rashid Latif who cited an example of Indian bowling sensation Jasprit Bumrah to throw a light on the worsening situation of the pace bowlers in Pakistan. Rashid Latif criticised the professional trainers who have not been able to do their work properly which has declined the fitness standards of the fast bowlers.

Rashid Latif wrote,”Our trainers are to be blamed. If one look at Jofra Archer who was out of action for two years comes back and bowls with the same speed ,Same goes with Jasprit Bumrah who became more threatening after coming back from the injury.”

Rashid Latif feels that Pakistan doesn’t have the same quality of pace bowling which they used to have earlier,Latif feels that the fast bowlers don’t have pace to trouble opposition which resulted in their loss against Bangladesh. Latif feels that the speed of Naseem Shah, Shaheen Afridi and khurram Shehzad has dropped drastically in recent times.

Latif also took the example of Australian skipper pat Cummins to show the fault of Pakistan’s support staff who were responsible for the decline of the pace bowling in pakistan. “Pat Cummins… he was out of cricket for a long time due to injury. When he came back, he did not show any signs of slowing down. Why are our bowlers slowing down? Obviously, our support staff is not doing a proper job. A bowler of 144 kmph speed has come down to 128 kmph,” he wrote”.

Rashid Latif feels that Pakistan doesn’t have the pace bowling unit which can trouble opposition in test cricket , According to him none of the current pace bowlers of Pakistan has ability to bowl 30 overs in a day which has resulted that the Pakistani pacers have only been effective in the white ball format.
