“Now you are talking about somebody…”Sunil Gavaskar not happy with Team India’s approach against Bangladesh, reason will surprise you

The Indian cricket team delivered an exceptional performance with the bat during the fourth and final day of the two-match Test series against Bangladesh at the Green Park stadium in Kanpur on Monday. With the second and third days of play being completely lost to heavy rains, such was the necessity for India to come up with an extraordinary attempt for the game to be carried to a stage that a result could be achieved. The home team first bowled out Bangladesh for 233 runs and then possessed an even better batting performance. The side under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma made 285 for 9 in 34.4 overs and subsequently declared their innings taking a lead of 52 runs.

In the course of the monumental innings, India set the records for the fastest 50, 100, 150, 200 and 250 runs in the Test cricket.

India made immense achievement on that day but Gavaskar was disappointed with the team batsmen’s performance, Sunil Gavaskar former captain of India, now a commentator stated during his address on JioCinema.

When jaiswal was dismissed as India’s second wicket everybody was eager to see Virat bat who comes at number four in tests. Rather unexpectedly, India sent Rishabh Pant instead of Kohli who was later sent in at the fifth position instead of the second.

“Now you are talking about somebody.

who scored wisely and accumulated nearly 9,000 runs as a No. 4 batsman in Test cricket,” said Gavaskar.

Even though Pant could manage just 9 runs from 11 deliveries, Kohli contributed 47 runs from 35 balls striking four boundaries and one six.

On this Monday, batting wizard Virat Kohli added yet another feather to his ever-filling cap. This time, it is no one but the iconic Sachin Tendulkar that has been knocked off. Kohli made the record of being the quickest to score 27000 international runs. Kohli did it in 594 innings, breaking the record of Sachin Tendulkar of 623 innings.

27000 international runs are scored by only two cricketers before Kumar Sangakkara and Ricky Ponting, who scored in 648 and 650 innings respectively.

No sooner had he gone to the dressing room on Day 4 against Bangladesh in Kanpur, Ravichandran Ashwin bagged two quick wickets to leave the visitors at 26 for 2.
