Not Shane Warne or Murlitharan But He Is The Most Dangerous Spinner I Ever faced, Rohit Sharma Names The Best

India lost by nine wickets in the third Test match that happened at Holkar Stadium, Indore. On a spin-friendly track, the Indian batter could not hold themselves on the crease and they failed miserably. With this win, this four-match test series stands at 2-1 in favor of India.

Nathan Lyon was the man to be appreciated by the Australian side who grabbed 11 wickets in the match. Surprising everyone, he got 8 wickets in the second innings and he was totally unplayable during the Indore Test.

Meanwhile, the Indian captain Rohit Sharma has applauded the veteran Australian off-spinner and marked him as the best overseas spinner to ever toured in India. He designates him above the legends like Shane Warne and Muttiah Murlitharan.

While speaking to the media after the match, the Indian captain said, “He should be at the top in my opinion. Obviously, I haven’t played guys like Murali or Shane Warne. But among the current crop, he would probably be the No.1 overseas bowler to come and play in India.”

Speaking further Hitman Sharma explained the points that make Lyon a dangerous spinner.

He further stated, “He has got so much consistency in his line and length. When you have someone with that amount of accuracy, you need to try and do something different in terms of scoring runs because you know he will not give you anything easy. This is probably his third tour to India. I wasn’t part of the team during his first tour but I watched the game. He is a very experienced bowler and is not afraid of getting hit. That gives the captain a lot of confidence because he knows he has a guy who is going to pitch it there and let the pitch do the remaining.”
