The former captain of the England cricket team, Michael Vaughan has made a bold prediction regarding the upcoming 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) which is scheduled to start on March 31. The first match will be played between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Michael Vaughan expressed his excitement about the upcoming IPL 2023 and went on to predict that the team that finished as runners-up in 2022, Rajasthan Royals would emerge as the champions this time. As we know that RR lost to Gujarat Titans in the final encounter.
The former captain of England Michael Vaughan came to his official Twitter handle and wrote, “I think it’s going to be @rajasthanroyals year.. they will be lifting the trophy in late May .. #OnOn #IPL2023.”
The first match for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2023 season will be against Hyderabad led by Aiden Markram. The match will take place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on April 2. Barsapara Stadium of Assam will also hold some of the matches for Rajasthan Royals.
