‘No problem even if Virat doesn’t score any run after T20 World Cup’, Virender Sehwag Supports Virat Kohli After The Innings Against GT

Star batter of Royal Challengers Bengaluru Virat Kohli recaptured the Orange Cap by scoring 42 runs against Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League 2024. CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad had held the top spot earlier, but Kohli got back to the place after the recent match.

Kohli and Faf du Plessis stitched a quick partnership of 92 runs in just 5.5 overs while chasing a target of 148 in Bengaluru against Gujarat Titans. However, the chase became problematic for RCB as they lost six wickets but Dinesh Karthik played a crucial role in stabilizing the innings and leading the team to a four-wicket victory.

Virender Sehwag commended Kohli for his outstanding form and urged him to maintain his high level of performance during the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

“Virat Kohli was phenomenal against Gujarat Titans. He has been consistent this season for RCB. I hope he continues with his form even in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. No matter if he fails to score any runs after the World Cup but India needs him in form in the West Indies and the USA,” Virender Sehwag said on Cricbuzz.

In the match against GT, Kohli faced 27 balls, hitting 4 fours and 2 sixes, with a strike rate of 155.55.

In 11 games, he has scored 542 runs at an average of 67.75 and a strike rate of 148.08. Throughout the season, he has hit 48 fours and 24 sixes.
