Arjun, son of legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar, proved his determination in the 25th match of IPL 2023 and got his first wicket in the form of Bhuvneshwar Kumar of SRH in his IPL career.
Mumbai Indians played their fifth match in IPL 2023 against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Arjun featured in the second match and got his wicket, making it memorable. Arjun made his IPL debut against Kolkata Knight Riders but could not take a wicket in that match.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the last batsman to get out for SRH. Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma took the catch of Bhuvi in the covers. Arjun celebrates his first wicket with his teammates. His father, Sachin, and sister, Sara, who were present on the ground, expressed happiness over the 23-year-old’s achievement.
On Tuesday, Arjun Tendulkar conceded only 14 runs in the first two overs of his bowling spell against Sunrisers Hyderabad. After this, he was entrusted with bowling the last over of the innings. Hyderabad needed 20 runs to win. The left-arm pacer conceded only 6 runs in the over and picked up a wicket. In this way, Mumbai scored a hat-trick of victory.
After the victory of Mumbai Indians, Preity Zinta tweeted in praise of Arjun Tendulkar, which went viral. In her tweet, she pointed out that the young cricketer was mocked greatly because of nepotism but proved that he had earned his place.

Arjun Tendulkar broke his father Sachin Tendulkar’s record by taking his first wicket in IPL. Sachin Tendulkar never took a wicket in IPL, but Arjun did in IPL 2023.
