Nepotism In Cricket? Virendra Sehwag’s Son Picked In Delhi U-16 Squad

The famous batter Virat Kohli is one of the outstanding cricketers from Delhi. Virender Sehwag was a unique talent among the famous players who represented the state; few cricketers had the same aggressive impulse across all formats as him. Aaryavir, the daring batter’s son, has been selected for the Delhi U-16 team in the ongoing Vijay Merchant Trophy.

Notably, Aaryavir is one of the state’s brightest young cricketers. There is excitement among cricket fans to see his batting because he has released recordings of it on his Instagram account.

Aaryavir was included in the 79-person probable list for the Delhi U-16 team two weeks ago. However, the youthful player has left off the roster for the Vijay Merchant Trophy match versus Hyderabad in the opening round. Finally, he was selected as the 15th player for the current match against Bihar.

An image of the team sheet was posted on the Delhi and District Cricket Association’s official Twitter account, and it quickly gained popularity after Aaryavir’s name was recognized by the followers.

Aaryavir is a traditional batter with good technique, according to Akash Malhotra, chair of the DDCA junior selection committee. He went on to explain why Aaryavir was selected for the shortlist of players.

Akash Malhotra, DDCA junior selection committee chairperson said, “Not at all. He is not that type of batter. His footwork is very good and is a good student of the game. You know he was middling the ball really well. Footwork was correct and he played a lot in the V. That really impressed us.”
