Nepal team unveils their squad for the upcoming T 20 World Cup

Cricket Nepal has made public the squad of 15 players from Nepal who will participate in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 to be held in India and Sri Lanka. The Nepalese team will be participating in the T20 World Cup next month for the second time in a row and their third overall as they managed to qualify for the 2014 and 2024 tournaments.

The young batting all-rounder Rohit Paudel is the captain of Nepal and Dipendra Singh Airee will be his deputy.

On the 6th of January, 2026, Tuesday, Cricket Nepal declared the squad for Nepal men for next month’s ICC T20 World Cup 2026. Captain Rohit Paudel and his deputy Dipendra Singh Airee will again lead the national side during the event.

The ace spinner Sandeep Lamichhane was not the only one to be named in the squad; he was accompanied by fellow tweaker Lalit Rajbanshi and the young fast bowler Nandan Yadav. The wicketkeeper option for Nepal has been given to Aasif Sheikh, who is also in the team with his brother Aarif Sheikh, the top-order batter.
