Naseer Hussain wants Eng to exclude Jofra Archer from second test, Here’s the reason

Fast bowler Jofra Archer has made the England squad for the second Test against India, which will happen at Edgbaston in Birmingham from July 2 to 6. Archer, who’s got 42 wickets in 13 Tests, last played a red-ball game for England in February 2021. Since then, he’s only played one other red-ball match for Sussex against Durham from June 22 to 25 this year.

Former England captain Nasser Hussain, now a commentator, is glad to see Archer back but advises England’s skipper Ben Stokes to take it easy with him for this upcoming Test. It’s great news for Archer and England. He’s been through a lot with injuries and rehab, so seeing him back in the squad is fantastic, especially since he hasn’t played a Test for four years, Hussain told Sky Sports News.

He believes England fans should be happy about Archer’s return but is cautious about rushing him back into action. It might be risky to play him this week, but if he’s feeling good, maybe they’ll decide to have him in. The tricky part is figuring out who you’d drop, he said.

Nasser thinks it might be smarter to wait another week given how long England has waited for Archer to return. What’s the rush? We’ve waited this long, so why not give it another week to make sure he’s 100% ready?
