Naman Dhir drops a massive statement on Mumbai’s dominating performance against LSG

Naman Dhir, Mumbai Indian’s MI batsman, said that the pitch was a little on the slower side at Wankhede during their match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in IPL on Sunday. His praise goes to the top-order batters who made a strong start and set the tone for the game. He mentioned how the performance of the team was quite impressive in the recent matches and believes their winning ways would be attributed to the team having done sufficient work to get success in key moments of matches.

“It is true, the pitch was a bit slower, but the way our top order batsmen performed was brilliant. They got us off to a flying start. We’ve been ticking boxes in our last 5 games, and winning those key moments has been huge for us. If we can continue like this, I really feel we can go further up the ladder,” Dhir said while talking to the media shortly after the match.

They really showed their merit that day, with Bumrah taking four and Boult marrying three to seal the fifth victory of the season for it against LSG, victorious by 55 runs. MI managed to score a very good 215 runs for seven wickets in the 20 overs, backed up with unemphasized contributions from Ryan Rickelton, who made 58 runs, and Suryakumar Yadav, who scored 54.

It was a good finish for their innings, too, Dhir at 25 runs from just 11 balls and Corbin Bosch chipping in with 20 runs from 10 balls. They made an assault on the 19th over, bringing 19 runs, including a couple of sixes and a four. Avesh Khan is doing quiet work in the last over, while he has taken off Bosch at the final over of the innings, but MI has already finished powerfully at 215.

Mumbai Indians are to face the Rajasthan Royals on Thursday, May 1, at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. The current scene is a clear indication of the momentum the team has, and the fans are excited to see how far they can go with their performance in the next match!
