Chennai Super Kings have got a major setback before their next clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad. CSK will miss the presence of pacer Mustafizur Rahman in the upcoming IPL 2024 match against SRH as he has traveled back to Bangladesh for the US Visa process ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024.
The T20 World Cup is scheduled to be held in the USA and West Indies starting from June 1. This major tournament will commence nearly a week after the IPL 2024 Final. Chennai Super Kings, having won two matches already, will face SunRisers Hyderabad in Hyderabad on Friday, April 5th.
As per a report by Cricbuzz, the pacer has reached Bangladesh and will soon visit the US Embassy to provide his fingerprints and complete his visa processing.
While talking to Cricbuzz, CB cricket operation chairman Jalal Yunus said, “Mustafizur arrived last night from the IPL for US visa purposes for the upcoming T20 World Cup. He will be giving his fingerprint at the US embassy tomorrow (April 4) and later will travel back to India to join Chennai.”
Mustafizur Rahman is expected to return to the Chennai Super Kings’ team before their match against Kolkata Knight Riders on April 8. However, his availability will depend on his passport-receiving process in the US.
