The five-time IPL champions are back to seeing Ms Dhoni does what she does best, which is finish the matches in style.
The Star batter has handed over his captaincy duties to Ruturaj Gaikwad but has been in red-hot form with the bat. The star batter continues to score runs in death overs for CSK.
Dhoni has so far scored 87 runs in the ongoing IPL season; however, CSK’s head coach, Michel Hussey, talked about Dhoni’s preparation for the ongoing IPL season.
Michael Hussey said, “He’s just in a wonderful place in his career. He’s at a place where he’s comfortable, he’s happy, and he’s enjoying his cricket. He’s practiced and prepared really well coming into the tournament. Of course, bowlers are coming up with different plans against him because he’s probably the greatest finisher of all time.”
Even at the age of 42, Ms. Dhoni had turned the clock back in time and reinvented herself as a batter. Hussey feels that “Dhoni will continue to evolve as a player even at this stage of his career.”
Michael Hussey said, “The bowlers need to come up with different ideas. So that’s one of the wonderful things about MS. He’ll continue to evolve and continue even at this stage of his career to make himself better and make it harder for the bowlers to bowl to him.”
