“Ms Dhoni is responsible for….” Ruturaj Gaikwad drops bombshell on Shivam Dube’s transformation for CSK

CSK went on to win their second game of the season as they hammered the Gujarat Titans by a huge margin of 63 runs. CSK’s skipper, Ruturaj Gaikwad, termed this match a near-perfect game for the Yellow Army.

Ruturaj Gaikwad was all praise for both Rachin Ravindra and Shivam Dube, who were sensational with the bat. Rachin Ravindra scored a brilliant 46 off just 20 deliveries. But the highlight of CSK’s batting was Shivam Dube, who scored his 7th IPL 50, scoring 51 off just 23 deliveries.

Speaking about the same in his post-match presentation, Ruturaj Gaikwad said, “Today’s game was near to perfect in the sense of batting, bowling, and fielding, all three departments. Against a team like Gujarat, we had to produce this kind of performance. (100+ runs in the first ten overs) In Chennai, when you are not sure how the wicket will be, you must bat well, irrespective of when you’re batting. Having wickets in the last ten really helps here. Personally, I thought Rachin batted and put us against the game.”

Gaikwad also shared his views about the transformation of Shivam Dube in Chennai, saying that it’s because of the personal attention given to him by Dhoni and team management.

Gaikwad also lauded the fielding performance of Ajinkya Rahane in both encounters.

Gaikwad said, “Jinx and Shivam played good roles. Not to forget our youngster Rizvi as well. (Assessment of Dube) Just confidence. When he came here the management worked with him personallyh.re, Mahi Bhai worked with him personally. He knows what role he is playing and which bowler to take on. It was a big plus for us. (Fielding today) I think pretty much the same; I am impressed as well. Maybe we have 1-2 extra youngsters in the team. Great effort from Jinx, even in the last game and this game.”
