MOST SHOCKING: Sydney Thunder Made The Shameful World Record, Registers The Lowest Total In T20s History

BBL 12 saw one of the most surprising matches in its history where Sydney Thunder bundled out on just 15 runs, thus registering themselves with the team as the lowest total in T20 history.

The match was played between Adelaide Strikers and Sydney Thunder where Adelaide strikers managed to get 139 runs in 20 overs. Chasing the target, the Thunder’s looked unsettled against the swing and started losing the momentum from the first over only.

The team bundled out 15 in 5.5 overs and created these unusual records on their name. Before Sydney, this record belonged to Turkey when they got bowled out on 21 runs against the Czech Republic on 30 August 2019. The third on the list is Lesotho which got on just 26 runs against Uganda in 2021. Turkey is again on the list sitting at number 4 getting out on 28 runs against Luxembourg in 2019.

Talking about the match, Adelaide Strikers opted to bat first and posted a total of 139 runs at the loss of 9 wickets. Chris Lynn scored most for the team getting 36 runs in 27 balls. Colin De Grandhomme contributed 33 with the bat with the help of two fours and two sixes.

Chasing the target none of the batters from Sydney Thunder touched the double figure. Henry Thornton, who was adjusted man of the match, grabbed 5 wickets for the team. Apart from him, Wes Agar got 4 wickets.
