Mohammed Shami Slams LSG Owner Sanjiv Goenka For Scolding KL Rahul

Sanjiv Goenka is receiving widespread criticism for berating KL Rahul after the SRH vs LSG match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. The owner of the Lucknow-based team was seen using harsh language on the field, and the footage has irked many spectators and fans.

The right-handed batter played a slow innings against Sunrisers Hyderabad where he scored 29 runs facing 33 balls. With this, LSG reached a target of 165/4 in the allotted 20 overs.

With the help of Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma’s heroics, SRH completed the chase in just 9.4 overs without losing a wicket. Despite the complete dominance of the Pat Cummins-led franchise, Goenka’s surprising criticism of KL Rahul came at a time when all the players were still on the field, and the cameras were capturing the moment.

The Indian pacer, Mohammed Shami who is out from the team due to an injury openly criticized Sanjiv’s actions, labeling them as shameless.

“You can’t insult KL Rahul. He is one of the star Indian players and no ordinary cricketer. There is a way to say things. If you wanted to talk to KL Rahul, you could have done it in the dressing room or at the hotel.”

“I would call his behavior shameless. Cricket is a team game and you can’t blame one player. There are good days and there are bad days,” Mohammed Shami said on Cricbuzz.
