Mohammed Shami set to get another massive blow as… Check out

Imtiaz Ahmed, the lawyer representing Hasin Jahan, the estranged wife of Indian cricket player Mohammed Shami, stated on Wednesday that Shami will provide Rs 4 lakh monthly as alimony to Jahan. Ahmed thinks the amount could go up to Rs 6 lakh.

The Calcutta High Court instructed Mohammed Shami to pay Rs 4 lakh per month to Hasin Jahan and their daughter. Of this, Jahan will receive Rs 1.50 lakh, and their daughter will receive Rs 2.50 lakh each month.

Jahan, a former model, wedded Mohammed Shami in 2014, and they had a daughter in 2015. In 2018, they separated after Jahan accused Shami of domestic abuse and infidelity. Their divorce case has been ongoing since then, with legal fights over alimony and related concerns.

Speaking with ANI, Imtiaz Ahmed said, This was a great moment for Hasin Jahan. Since 2018, she has been trying hard to get here. The court declared that Shami would pay Rs 1.5 lakh to Hasin Jahan and Rs 2.5 lakh for their daughter each month. Plus, Shami must provide assistance whenever their daughter needs it. The High Court wants the trial court to resolve the main application of the interim order within six months. There is a good possibility that the maintenance could increase to Rs 6 lakh when they go back to the trial court, because Hasin Jahan asked for Rs 7 lakh for herself, and Rs 3 lakh, in her application.

Back in 2018, Hasin Jahan accused the cricketer of domestic abuse and even filed a claim in the Alipore court, saying that Shami and his family were harassing her. Jahan asked for Rs 7 lakh per month from Shami to support the family. The court approved her request and granted Rs 80,000 for her daughter.
