On Tuesday, for all his incredible contribution to Indian cricket including his role in the winning of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, A Revanth Reddy, Telangana Chief Minister, rewarded all-rounder cricketer Mohammed Siraj. Having emerged victorious at the recent T20 World Cup in India, Siraj made a courtesy visit to the CM’s house which happens to be located in his home town Hyderabad.
“Revanth Reddy extolled Siraj during the meeting citing the remarkable talent he portrays as one of the best international cricketers ever. The Chief Minister claimed that Mohammed Siraj’s contribution had brought a lot of dignity into global context and confidence in Telangana state,” he said during the ceremony. “
“The Chief Minister Revanth Reddy congratulated the all-round cricketer Mohammed Siraj, who brought great fame to India and our state of Telangana in International cricket. Siraj, who came to Hyderabad after winning the T20 World Cup, met the Chief Minister at his residence as a courtesy. Siraj was honoured on this occasion.” Telangana CMO said in a caption after Reddy’s meeting with Siraj.
Siraj’s excellent performance in the 2024 T20 World Cup was commended by the Chief Minister. The state government has instructed that Siraj be provided with a residence and a job. The Chief Minister was quoted as saying, ” we need a suitable spot around Hyderabad where they can initiate action with regard to public employment.
The Chief Minister conveyed his intentions of giving Siraj a house site and government employment as a way of congratulating him about his achievements. The CM of Telangana commanded his subordinates to locate an appropriate piece of land around Hyderabad or nearby places and ensure that immediate steps were taken towards offering Siraj an official post.
After the Indian cricket team’s victory parade in Mumbai, Siraj went to the CMO’s official residence in Hyderabad. At that time, the son of the former Indian cricket captain, Mohammad Azharuddin and his son were present.
