Mohammad Rizwan makes a shocking revelation about getting dropped from Pakistan team

Pakistan cricket is having a tough time lately, losing game after game. They didn’t perform well in the Champions Trophy 2025, and after that, the PCB made the call to drop Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan from the T20I team. Unfortunately, that didn’t turn things around, as they ended up losing both the T20I and ODI series in New Zealand. It seems like things just keep getting worse for them.

Mohammad Rizwan, who was the captain of the ODI team, faced some tough questions after the team got whitewashed by the Kiwis in the one-day series. When asked about him and Babar not being included in the T20I squad, Rizwan was quite straightforward in his response. He said he can’t comment on the T20 team’s performance or selection since it isn’t his job.

He added that neither he nor Babar was consulted before the decision to drop them from the T20I team was made. He recognized that it’s ultimately the selectors’ choice, and they accept it.

I can’t say anything on behalf of the T20s because it’s not my job, and not a lot is in my hands. They didn’t consult us before dropping us from the T20I team. It’s their decision, and we accept that, he explained.

Next, we’ll see Rizwan and Babar back in action during PSL 2025, where Rizwan will be leading Multan Sultans, and Babar will be captaining Peshawar Zalmi.
