The 8th edition of the T20 World Cup is going to start on the 16th of October and teams have already kicked off their preparation cycle. This time the World Cup will be organized in Australia which is also the defending champion.
Like other cricket experts, now former Australian finisher and all-rounder Michael Bevan has picked three teams who have the potential to win the marquee event. Among the three teams, India is one of those picks. Apart from India, the former Australian great has gone with England and hosts Australia.
While talking to SkySports, Bevan said, “I reckon I would have to say India, England, and Australia. I think that the pick of the teams at the moment is probably India and England. But Australia has some amazing players, some super talented players and when it clicks for them, it clicks and they are plenty good enough to take off (win) consecutive World Cups.”
Bevan claimed that Australia will definitely look to utilize its home advantage. He said, “And, given the home ground advantage (for Australia), it should help a little bit as well. I think they would have to be in my top three at this stage.”
The qualifiers for the T20 World Cup will start on 16th October while Team India will play its first match against the arch-rivals Pakistan on 23rd October at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
