Lucknow’s all-rounder Krunal Pandya shared an injury update on young pace sensation Mayank Yadav, who walked off the field after bowling just a single over in the match.
Mayank Yadav has been the talk of the cricket world because of his shear pace and accuracy.
However, Lucknow clinched this match by 33 runs in spite of Maynak Yadav’s absence.
After winning the toss, LSG’s skipper, Kl Rahul, took a brave decision first.
However, LSG posted 164 on the board. LSG’s chances were further dented when Pacer Maynak Yadav left the field after bowling just one over in the match.
Speaking about Mayank’s injury Krunal said, “I don’t know what exactly happened to Mayank Yadav, but I had a couple of seconds with him. So, I think he is okay to continue in future matches. That is positive news for us. He was bowling well in the nets earlier and last season before missing the tournament due to an injury. Whatever conversation I have had, whatever we see, he has a good head on his shoulder. I’m really excited to see how his career pans out.”
LSG will look forward to Mayank Yadav regaining full fitness ahead of their next encounter against Delhi on April 12.
