All-rounder Glenn Maxwell of Australia is anticipated to make his international comeback during Australia’s three-match ODI series against India in March, which may happen as soon as in a few weeks.
During a friend’s birthday party in November 2022, the 34-year-old faced a strange leg injury that led to the fracture of his left fibula, forcing him to miss the current Big Bash League and placing him on the sidelines for about three months. Maxwell might have been selected by the national selectors for the four-match Border Gavaskar Trophy if he had been healthy enough to compete, but sadly, that couldn’t happen.

Maxwell told Fox Cricket, “Probably will nag at me for the rest of my life. It’s nice getting the opportunity to watch your teammates play, especially over there. I think they’ve got the squad that’s probably as good as I’ve seen go over to India since I’ve been watching Tests over there, anyway.”
He further added, “With the way, Cameron Green showed his wares in Sri Lanka last year, they were some brilliant signs of guys adapting their gameplan to the conditions, and being able to implement it straight away.”
According to The Age, Victoria’s star all-rounder might play for the team in a Sheffield Shield match against Queensland on February 9 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. It is commonly known that Maxwell’s eventual return to Australia’s ODI team is critical for the Kangaroos because he will be one of their key players when the ODI World Cup takes place in India later this year.
