Lucknow Super Giants to face a massive jolt ahead of the upcoming IPL season, Check out

Given that three fast bowlers – Avesh Khan, Mayank Yadav, and Mohsin Khan – are awaiting clearance before IPL 2025, Lucknow Super Giants are in a bad position. Out of action since October 2024, Mayank is experiencing back stress. Avesh is recuperating from knee cartilages while not much is known about Mohsin’s injury. Cricbuzz’s article states rather that none of the three bowlers have gotten permission from the National Cricket Academy/Centre of Excellence. According to the report, the franchise also hopes at minimum two of the three would start the opener.

With the star pacer still recovering from the lower back injury that sidelined him from January, Jasprit Bumrah will most certainly miss the first rounds of the IPL 2025 games for Mumbai Indians.

Bumrah sustained the injury on the second day of the fifth Sydney Test against Australia and did not bowl in Australia&’s second innings where they chased 162 successfully to come out a six-wicket victor.

Since then subtle bowlers who have claimed 32 wickets in five games in that series have also been absent from India’s triumphant Champions Trophy run.

Named in India’s preliminary squad for the ICC showpiece, he could not reach the ideal fitness level in time as mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy was added to the team.

“His recovery is heading great. But a source intimately familiar with the situation told PTI, “Considering India’s Test series against England in June, at this stage it is better to give him some more time to return to top fitness.”

May 25 will mark the end of the IPL 2025.

Even though Bumrah has been ramping up his workload at nets and match simulations the physiotherapists at the BCCI Center of Excellence also discovered he has no preset time limit for him to get back to action.

Earlier, main selector Ajit Agarkar said Bumrah had been recommended five weeks of full “off-loading” up till the final week of January to curb the pressure on his damaged back.

It was a required precaution since Bumrah had a similar injury in 2023 and underwent operation in March of that year, which cost him many match hours.
