Lucknow Super Giants, the team, was introduced in 2022 in IPL along with Gujarat Titans. Under the captaincy of KL Rahul, LSG performed well in their first season and exited from the knockout round.
In the IPL auction, they have brought West Indian destructive batter Nicholas Pooran at 16 Cr and Daniel Sams in 75 Lakhs. However, they bought Naveen Ul Haq, Romario Shephard, Jaydev Unadkat, and Amit Mishra for 50 Lakhs each.
Although they are a good side because they hadn’t released their important players before the mini-auction, joining these players will strengthen the playing XI of the Lucknow Super Giants.
Lucknow Super Giants have a bunch of all-rounder players in the form of K. Gowtham, Deepak Hooda, Ayush Badoni, Karan Sharma, Marcus Stoinis, Kurnal Pandya, and Mohsin Khan. These players can show their talent with bat and ball at any time. They have a bowler in the form of Avesh Khan, Mark Wood, and Ravi Bishnoi, which is enough to give panic attacks to opponent batters.
However, Quinton De Kock, Kyle Mayers and the skipper will take the top-order batting responsibility to destroy the opponent’s bowling in the power play.
