“Let’s commit ourselves…”Jay Shah’s massive words of encouragement for the athletes on National Sports day

The national sports day has now gone on to become one of the important dates in the Indian calendar. It is celebrated on August 29 which marks the birth anniversary of one of the prominent Sporting figures in India Major Dhyan Chand.

On this auspicious occasion the newly appointed ICC chairman Jay Shah took social media to celebrate this special day highlighting the legacy of the Former hockey legend.

This day also has a high regard for all other athletes for their contribution to the Sport. Dhyan Chand also known by the name “Wizard of hockey ” helped India to win gold medal in three consecutive Olympics held in 1928,1932 and 1936.

This day has gone on to become one of the most important days in indian calendar since the start. The ICC chairman also had his words of wisdom and encouragement on this special day.

Jay Shah took social media to wish each and every athelete who have worked so hard and dedicated their lives for attaining excellence in their respective fields.

“On this National Sports Day, I warmly commend our athletes, coaches, and everyone who has devoted their life to sports,” Shah wrote on Instagram”.

The current BCCI secretary is all set to take the charge as the youngest ICC chairman succeeding Greg Barkley from December 1.

Shah will be the fifth Indian to become the ICC chairman before him Jagmohan Dalmiya, Sharad Pawar, N Srinivasan, and Shahank Manohar have served ICC as the chairman.
