Delhi Capitals (DC) acquired KL Rahul two days ago in the IPL 2025 mega auction. In fact, even after being bought by the DC, KL Rahul seems to have struck a good rapport with the management of the franchise. Parth Jindal, co-owner of DC, had said post-auction that, “He would treat KL Rahul with the love and respect he deserves” and added that he had gone for Bengaluru FC matches with Rahul. Now Rahul put up a hilarious post on his Instagram, putting a clip of him juggling a cricket ball and asking Jindal whether there is a spot at Bengaluru FC too. “Got an opening at Bengaluru FC?” posted Rahul on an Instagram story. Also, it is important to note that Rahul hails from Bengaluru.
KL Rahul’s IPL journey has been to four teams: RCB, SRH, PBKS, and LSG. At the very start of his IPL career, Rahul smashed runs, but a title has never come his way in the tournament despite his best efforts. Signing with the Delhi Capitals, he and his franchise are now chasing the same prestigious trophy to make both end their fairest thing.
Rahul’s versatility as a batter and wicketkeeper has made him one of the most assetted players in the league. While he started his IPL career batting in the middle order, he branched out into an opening role and consistently topped all batters with the most runs. Between 2018 and 2022, Rahul scored more than 590 runs each season, proving himself to be a dependable and effective run-scorer at the crease.

He has led Lucknow Super Giants to playoffs in both their debut season and next as well. But his participation in IPL 2023 was cut short by a thigh injury that limited him to just 9 matches.
