Lucknow Super Giants skipper KL Rahul created a historic moment as he became the first player to reach the milestone of 1000 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He achieved this feat during LSG’s match against Gujarat on Sunday, April 7, at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
Before the start of the match, KL Rahul needed just 17 runs to reach this milestone and he achieved it with ease. Since joining Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in 2022, Rahul has played in 28 matches. In these matches, he has scored a total of 1016 runs with an average of 42.33 and a strike rate of 127.79.
During this time, he has hit two centuries and seven half-centuries. Notably, in 2022, Rahul was named Player of the Match twice, both times against the Mumbai team at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, where he scored 103 runs in each match without getting out.
