Kane Williamson’s Historic Achievement in His 100th Test despite Low Score went past Virat Kohli.

The Black Caps are up against the mighty Australians in a two-match test series. The second test match of the ongoing series is currently being played in Christchurch.

Australia have the upper hand in this test match on the first day itself, as the visitors have bundled out hosts for just 162 on the board.

This test match is also quite special for Kane Williamson and Tim Southee, who are playing their 100th test match for New Zealand.

On his 100th test match, Kane Williamson failed to make it a memorable one as the batter could manage only 17 runs in the first inning. However, in spite of the low score, Kane Williamson has surpassed Virat Kohli.

Virat Kohli is currently not in the team that is playing against England due to the birth of his second child. Kane Williamson needed only 15 runs to go past Virat in the list of most runs scored in WTC history.

Virat Kohli has scored 2235 runs in WTC history with an average of 39.21. In 60 innings, Virat has 10 fifties and four hundreds to his name.

On the other hand, Kane Williamson has now scored 2238 runs at an impressive average of 63.94, scoring 10 hundreds and two fifties.

While in the ongoing test match, Hazelwood was the pick of the bowlers for Australia, as the pacer went on to pick five wickets in the first innings.
