Kane Williamson to miss few matches of PSL due to this reason, Check out

Kane Williamson, the talented batter from New Zealand, has been signed by Karachi Kings for the PSL 2025, but he’ll miss the first five matches of the season. This news comes straight from Salam Iqbal, the owner of Karachi Kings and Ary Digital. It’s a tough break for the team as they look to turn things around under new captain David Warner after a rough 2024 season.

We’re not exactly sure why Kane can’t play, but there are rumors that his commentary gigs in the IPL might be the reason. Plus, he did hurt his quad during the Champions Trophy final, which could keep him out as well. He recently missed the T20I and ODI series against Pakistan and has had a tough time with injuries over the last few years.

If all goes well, Kane should be back for the game against Quetta Gladiators on April 25. He didn’t get picked in the initial PSL draft but was later signed by the Kings in the supplementary round.

This season, Karachi Kings are looking fresh with David Warner at the helm, and they’ve got a couple of other Kiwis, Tim Seifert and Adam Milne, in the lineup. They finished fifth last season and are hoping for better results in PSL 10. The Kings are set to kick off their season against Multan Sultans on April 12 during the first double-header of the tournament.
