Kamran Akmal blasts over PCB due to this reason, Check out

Kamran Akmal, a former cricket player, spoke about the controversy over Pakistan not having someone at the Champions Trophy prize thing. He thinks Pakistan didn’t have a rep there because they didn’t deserve it. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is complaining to the International Cricket Council (ICC) because no one from Pakistan was there when India won against New Zealand.

Sumair Ahmad Syed, who is the PCB Chief Executive and the tournament director, was in Dubai. The PCB chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, couldn’t go because he was sick, so Sumair was supposed to be there for Pakistan. But he wasn’t there for the actual ceremony.

Kamran talked about how Pakistan’s rep wasn’t there. He said Pakistan needs to play better to get respect back.

The ICC is right. The tournament director (Sumair) was there, but why wasn’t he at the ceremony? Because we don’t deserve it. We aren’t playing well. Lesser teams are better, Kamran said on his YouTube channel.

No one cared that Pakistan hosted the tournament. If we play like this, this is what happens. If you only play for yourself, no one will respect you, Kamran said.

Reports say the PCB wants the ICC to explain why this happened.

ESPNcricinfo says the PCB didn’t tell the ICC that Sumair would be there instead of Naqvi. But the Pakistan board thinks the ICC should have asked them who was replacing Naqvi.
