Jasprit Bumrah Starts Preparation For The ODI World Cup 2023, Know How The Pacer Is Preparing

The star bowler of the Indian Cricket team Jasprit Bumrah has been out of action for some months and he has missed many major ICC tournaments due to injury in his lower back. Recently India lost to Australia in the final of the ICC Test Championship by a huge margin of 209 runs and fans remembered the services of Jasprit Bumrah and how lethal he used to be against these opponents.

After the surgery, Bumrah is making progress in his recovery as he puts in efforts at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore. The ODI World Cup 2023 is just 100 days away and the services of Bumrah can give a boost to Team India. Indian fans can now relax as the star bowler has resumed his bowling session in the nets. Not only this but as per the reports, the star bowler is likely to play some practice matches at NCA to make himself available for the upcoming important tours.

The reports suggest that the star seamer is bowling a total of seven overs during his net sessions and showing signs of effective recovery. His overall fitness will be evaluated after he participates in a series of practice matches scheduled at the NCA in the coming month.

Former strength and conditioning coach of India Ramji Srinivasa has said that the management should not get in a hurry to get Jasprit Bumrah into the team without him being fully fit. Bumrah had attempted to make a comeback during the ODI series against Sri Lanka in January. Unfortunately, the pacer got back pain and then he was dropped from the squad.

While talking to Cricketnext, Bumrah said, “He should not be hurried. Playing practice matches at the NCA is a good step as it will help tune his body to the demands of a match. But he should be made to play in some actual (domestic) matches before bringing him to top-level cricket.”
