Jasprit Bumrah Ruled Out From The ODI Series Against Sri Lanka, Take A Look At The Updated Squad

The wait to see Jasprit Bumrah in action has once again extended as the bowler has been ruled out from the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. The first match of the series will be played in Guwahati.

As per the reports, the Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) is not in hurry to bring the bowler into action due to the risk of frequent injury. This is the reason the bowler has not traveled with the team for the first ODI.

However, it was earlier informed by the BCCI that the bowler has joined the Indian squad after the final approval by the National Cricket Academy(NCA) and All India selection committee.

A press release came on January 3 by the BCCI, where it was said, “The pacer has undergone rehabilitation and has been declared fit by the National Cricket Academy (NCA). He will be joining the Team India ODI squad soon.”

Talking about the ODI series, senior players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will join the squad. Rohit Sharma as usual will be seen as doing the captaincy of the side with a blend of young and experienced squad.

India’s updated squad for Sri Lanka ODIs:

Rohit Sharma (Captain), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (wk), Ishan Kishan (wk), Hardik Pandya (VC), Washington Sundar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Mohd. Shami, Mohd. Siraj, Umran Malik and Arshdeep Singh.
