Indian actress Janhvi Kapoor has praised former Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni for his compassionate response to a pitch invader during the team’s IPL 2024 game against the Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad. She was deeply impressed how MS Dhoni handled the fan who jumped into the ground to touch the wicket-keeper’s feet.
The moment the invader came to the ground, MS Dhoni tried to run away from him in a hilarious way. However, the former skipper not only hugged him but also had a small chat with him while walking before security took the invader back.
The bollywood actress said that apart from the tactics which Dhoni shows at the ground, she also admires him for his humbleness.
Janhvi joined the Star Sports Channel for the promotion of Mr and Mrs Mahi and said,”I recently saw a video in which a fan had come near the pitch to meet MS Dhoni. The way Dhoni handled it, he behaved very nicely with that fan. The security didn’t just enter and escort him out. He was so protective of him and showed that person a lot of respect. So, these things tell you a lot about someone. He is such a dignified presence, and I am a fan of that as well as his game. And of course, his hat-trick of sixes against Mumbai, that was too good.”
MS Dhoni has been brilliant this season with this death over batting. In the game against Gujarat, he came late to the crease but had those six hitting moments against Rashid Khan.
