The Delhi Capitals’ head coach, Hemang Badani, is staying positive about Jake Fraser-McGurk despite the player’s tough season so far. With only 55 runs this IPL season, Jake hasn’t shown the same spark as last year, but Badani believes he can turn things around in the upcoming match against the Gujarat Titans.
We think he can really change the game for us, Badani said, emphasizing the player’s potential. He also mentioned that they have no plans to drop him, especially since the team is doing well, sitting at the top of the standings with five wins out of six games.
Having Jake in the lineup gives us the flexibility we need, he added. Badani noted that if Jake can find his form, it would be great for the team.
As for Faf du Plessis, Badani wasn’t ready to give updates on his condition, saying they’ll check on him tomorrow, but he knows Du Plessis is hoping to be back during the second half of the season.
So far, we’re enjoying our time together. There’s a good vibe in the team with lots of laughter and fun.
