“It hurts to see….”Former captain heartbroken after Pakistan’s embarrassing loss against Bangladesh.

On Tuesday, the Pakistan cricket team hit rock bottom, as they suffered a six wickets defeat against Bangladesh in the second Test here and the greats regarded this 0-2 series loss as “painful.”

This was Pakistan’s sixth loss in their last 10 home tests and also the first time that Bangladesh have defeated their neighbours in a Test series.

“It hurts to see our cricket reached this point. Bangladesh deserves compliments for their controlled acts. However, it is unfortunate that we ruined ourselves with poor batting throughout the series,” said Javed Miandad who was captain during his playing days.

In the second match, the second innings was controlled by Bangladesh batters while Pakistan replaced pace bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi from their lineup and took a break for Naseem Shah.

Bangladesh began their first innings very badly at 26 runs for 6 wickets before Indomitable Litton Das, who scored a hundred runs and Mehidy Hasan Miraz staged a brilliant fight back innings that saved them from imminent defeat.

According to Miandad, the players do not have faith anymore due to differences within PCB.

He said that he would not simply hold the players responsible because all that has occurred at the PCB board for one and a half years now and changes of captaincy and management have really taken a toll on the team.

Thus, with its most recent setback, the possibility that Pakistan would be able to reach even close to the final of the world test championship has seemingly been eliminated.

Shan Masood struggles to score runs which have made his journey as a leader quite nightmare-like since he has lost all five Tests at home, along with Babar Azam’s failures who is considered a senior batter.

But then there are rumors that red-ball coach Jason Gillispie and white-ball coach Gary Kirsten have advised PCB and selectors against pressing panic buttons as they would reduce players’ self-esteem even further.

Meanwhile, Gillispie will take some days off in Australia alongside Tim Nielsen the high performance coach.
