Is Mayank Yadav Looking For A Place In The T20 World Cup 2024? The LSG Sensation Gives Huge Statement

Mayank Yadav is gaining a lot of attention for consistently bowling over 150 kmph in the IPL 2024. His speed and precise bowling are causing difficulties for the batsmen. Big names like Shikhar Dhawan, Jonny Bairstow, Glenn Maxwell, and Cameron Green have found it tough against the 21-year-old bowler.

In his first IPL match against Punjab Kings, he took 3 wickets, and in the next game against Royal Challengers Bangalore, he grabbed three more wickets.

He was awarded the Player of the Match on both occasions, and former cricketers are now advocating for his inclusion in the Team India squad. A group of legendary players has urged the BCCI and the selection committee led by Ajit Agarkar to include him in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 squad for the West Indies and the USA. Mayank is also being considered as a possible threat to Australia in the upcoming five-match series between the two nations later this year.

Mayank said, “I thought about playing for India in the ICC T20 World Cup a while ago, but that’s not the case at the moment. I am not thinking about my place in the squad. My sole focus is on playing for Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL.”

The fast bowler was questioned about the opportunity to be part of the dressing room alongside Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. “It will be exciting, as I have seen them playing for India since childhood. I want to see how will they react and what will be my reaction” he added.
