Former Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni sent the internet into a frenzy with a cryptic message over his IPL future. He came to Chennai before IPL 2025 to be with his CSK teammates, and it is his t-shirt that became the talking point among fans. The internet believed the t-shirt had a coded message hinting that IPL 2025 would be his last season in the league. Fans took their guesses on social media to decode the message on the t-shirt and thought of it as Morse Code, which translated to-One Last Time.
Earlier Dhoni said in the chat that, ‘a lot of hard work goes into conditioning before one can be ready for two months of IPL.’
“I only play a couple of months in a year, but I want to enjoy it the way I started playing, that’s something which keeps me going,” Dhoni said at Garuda Aerospace’s ‘Ascend’ for the launch of Amaran Drone and Land Mine Detection Drone here on Friday.
“But, of course, for that, I need to work hard for six to eight months, as IPL is one of the toughest tournaments. Nobody really cares how old you are. If you are playing at this level, the level should be the same,” he added.
Dhoni has said one of the biggest motivations in his career has been playing for his country, coming from a state which is not known for cricket.
“When I started playing international cricket for me the biggest motivation was representing my country,” he said.
“Having come from a region not identified for cricket, there has always existed in me some connection with the country owing to my aim to put it on the global cricket map. Once I got a chance, I wanted to contribute and be part of a winning team that was trying to win each and every game, you’re trying to win the big tournaments, the bilateral series and so on.”
“For me, my biggest motivation was to make this contribution that made India win. But with my retirement from international cricket, it is not like that anymore: a rather, it is love for the sport,” he added.
