Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan has picked his probable top-3 Indian player for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. In this list chosen by Pathan, star batter Virat Kohli has also made his place.
Since the last T20 World Cup, there has been a lot of discussion about India’s top three batting positions, especially after the team was knocked out in the semi-finals. The number of contenders for these positions has increased significantly, making it challenging for the selectors to make a decision. While Rohit Sharma is placed at the top position as the opener, the option for his opening partner and number three batter is yet to be confirmed.
It is very much clear that former Indian captain Virat Kohli is well at the No. 3 position, but with the changes in T20 cricket, some wonder if he’s still suited for that spot. However, the batter is doing well and he will definitely make an inch for him in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
Irfan Pathan picked Virat Kohli as his number three batter and apart from it he has kept Yashasvi Jaiswal as the opening partner for Rohit Sharnma.

(Shouldn’t be any question regarding his place or strike rate. His strike rate at the T20I is 138 + Better than Chris Gayle+ 51 avg. N his ipl strike rate this season is 150),” Irfan Pathan posted on Twitter.
