IPL 2024: ‘We Will Talk About MS Dhoni’s Sixes And Kohli’s Hundred For Months, But Does Not…’, Harbhajan Singh Slams Cricket Experts

In the 31st match of the IPL 2024, Rajasthan Royals won against Kolkata Knight Riders by two wickets. Jos Buttler was the star for RR as he played a fantastic innings where he scored 107 runs not out from 60 balls. He hit 9 fours and 6 sixes at the Eden Gardens, leading his team to a strong victory.

Buttler scored his second century of this edition and his seventh overall in the history of the tournament. He formed crucial partnerships with Riyan Parag, Rovman Powell, and Avesh Khan. The chase of 224 runs wasn’t easy for the 2008 champions until Powell joined the action along with the England wicket-keeper.

He scored 26 runs from 13 balls, including 3 sixes and 1 four. Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh criticized cricket experts for not acknowledging and praising the contributions of English batters in the IPL.

“We will talk about MS Dhoni’s sixes and Virat Kohli’s hundred for months but doesn’t give credit to Jos Buttler. He is one of the legends of the game and deserves all the limelight. It was one the finest hundreds in the tournament,” Harbhajan Singh said.

In this match, Rajasthan Royals won the match and elected to bowl first. While batting first, KKR posted a mammoth total of 223 runs at the loss of six wickets. Thanks to Sunil Narine from KKR, who smashed his first century of IPL opening the innings with Philip Salt. Narine got 109 runs in 56 balls which includes 13 fours and six fours.

For Rajasthan Royals, Avesh Khan and Kuldeep Sen got two wickets each, and Trent Boult and Yuzvendra Chahal managed to get one wicket each in their kitty.

After that skipper, Sanju Samson(12) also returned to the pavilion without any big contribution and then it was Riyan Parag(34) who got some runs along with Jos Buttler.
