IPL 2024: RCB Should Not Have Dropped This Player From Their Playing XI, Ambati Rayudu Gives Bold Remark On Franchise

Royal Challengers Bengaluru have played seven games but are having trouble figuring out their playing XI. They’ve been changing their lineup often to try to win, but it’s not working well, and they’re not getting good results.

Players haven’t had the chance to settle in the team. Karn Sharma, who is the team’s most experienced spinner, was removed from the team after just one match.

In the recent match against Sunrises Hyderabad, Glenn Maxwell, and Mohammed Siraj were dropped from the team. However, even after their exclusion, the team conceded 287 runs and lost the match by 25 runs. Maxwell has been a major letdown for the franchise, as he has scored three ducks in just six games. He is not spending much time at the crease, and his tendency to play too many aggressive shots has led to his dismissals.

Meanwhile, the former Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu has spoken in favor of Glenn Maxwell. He said, “Glenn Maxwell should have been there. RCB don’t trust their players. This is one area where Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, and Kolkata Knight Riders are ahead of other franchises. Maxwell deserves to play all 14 games as he is a match-winner, and you at least give him an entire season before taking a call.”

“This is when a player needs backing, and if he is trusted, he can do wonders for the franchise. However, RCB has issues, and that’s why when their players play for other franchises, they always perform,” Ambati Rayud said.
