IPL 2024: Not Jaiswal Or Riyan Parag, Navjot Singh Sidhu Names The Most Improved Batter Of Rajasthan Royals

Rajasthan Royals under the captaincy of Sanju Samson are doing well this season and they have occupied the first position in the ongoing IPL 2024 edition. They have won 7 matches and are leading the points table. Sanju Samson is doing a great job as the team’s leader, both with his batting and his decisions as captain and wicketkeeper. However, when he first joined the Royals in 2013, he was satisfied with scoring quick runs of 25-30.

It was always said that Sanju Samson had great potential but he failed to convert the small stars into the big ones. However, once he became the skipper of the side, his performance got much better. Now, he’s one of the most dependable batters in the league. Former Indian cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu is impressed by Samson’s IPL performance.

Sidhu praised the batter for his steady performance and noted how his game improved after taking on more responsibility.

While talking at Star Sports, Sanju Samson said, the former Indian batter said, “Sanju Samson is the most improved batter of Rajasthan Royals. Earlier, he used to believe in bang-bang. He was satisfied with a quick-fire 25-30 to impact the game. However, he realized that big and important innings are needed to win matches for the team. He has now played impressive knocks and is staying till the end.”

He further added, “He can bat aggressively and the right-handed batter has all the skills to anchor the innings if needed. His growth in the batting department is good news for Indian cricket as the national team needs a batter like him in the middle-order.”

Rajasthan has won seven out of eight matches in IPL 2024. They have now secured the top spot with 14 points. They require just one more victory to mark their presence in the playoffs.
