He scored 124 runs in just 62 balls and this with a target of 213 runs for the five-time champions. The credit for this impressive batting performance goes to Jaiswal’s excellent skills with the bat.

Despite Rajasthan Royals losing the match by six wickets, Yashasvi Jaiswal was recognized for his exceptional performance, receiving several awards in the presentation ceremony, including the prestigious Player of the Match award. The 21-year-old batsman’s brilliance was praised by Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma as well. Sharma also expressed his wonder about Jaiswal’s ability to hit the ball with great power.

Sharma feels that Jaiswal has the potential to become a valuable asset to the Indian cricket team as well as to the Rajasthan Royals.

“I watched him (Jaiswal) last year, he’s taken it to the next level. I asked him ‘Where did you get the power from?’ He said he’s been going to the gym, that’s good for him, India and RR,” Rohit said at the post-match presentation.

The match winner for Mumbai Indians, Tim David praised Yashasvi Jaiswal for his impressive performance. David also acknowledged that Jaiswal’s achievement must have been particularly special for him, given that he is originally from Mumbai and was able to score his century in front of his home crowd.
