The first match of IPL 2023 will be played between Chennai Super Kings and the defending champion Gujarat Titans at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. After this on 2nd April, Sunrisers Hyderabad will start their campaign against Rajasthan Royals but SRH will enter the ground without their three important players which also includes their captain Aiden Markram.
Apart from Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen, and Marco Jansen will also miss the first match against Rajasthan Royals. As we know South Africa will be playing a two-match ODI series against the Netherlands and for it, South African cricket has announced its squad. The squad has its all key players as this series will be a do-or-die for the Africans to qualify for the ODI World Cup happening in India.
Cricket South Africa has included players like Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen, Marco Jansen, Quinton de Kock, David Miller, Lungi Ngidi, Anrich Nortje, Kagiso Rabada, and Sisanda Magala in their ODI team. It means all these players will miss the opening matches of the IPL.
The first match of the Netherlands and South Africa series will be played on March 31 and April 2.
