IPL 2023: Steve Smith Picks His 4 Teams Which Would Qualify For The Playoffs, Excludes RCB And Mumbai Indians

The former captain of the Rajasthan Royals team, Steve Smith, has confirmed that he will be participating in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. He has joined Star Sports as an expert for IPL 2023. Smith, who led Australia to a notable ODI series victory over India, has picked his four tops that would probably make it into the playoffs of IPL 2023.

According to him, Steve Smith, Chennai Super Kings, that has won the IPL championship four times, is his first pick. He has kept the defending champions, Gujarat Titans, in second place. He has kept Lucknow Super Giants in third place, and Sunrisers Hyderabad, led by Aiden Markram, is his fourth team.

Before it, Steve Smith announced his arrival on the commentary team while speaking at Star Sports. The Australian skipper will join the commentary Panel, where he will be analyzing the IPL 2023.

“I think I read the game pretty well, so hopefully, there will be some good insights for everyone watching IPL. Iโ€™m certainly excited about joining the Star Sports Team and looking forward to this new experience,โ€ Smith said about his new role.

The first match of the IPL 2023 will be played between the Chennai Super Kings and the defending champions Gujarat Titans on 31st March at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
