Mahendra Singh Dhoni is widely regarded as one of the best cricketers ever. He is known for his successful captaincy of the Indian cricket team which led to numerous significant victories including the 2011 ODI World Cup. Due to his calm nature and ability to handle pressure situations, he has been named ‘Captain Cool’.
The former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan, who has been a part of Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s team for a long time has said that the former Indian Captain has always had a cool, calm, and composed attitude on the field. Dhoni believes that being aggressive can have a negative impact on the team’s performance. Dhawan also highlighted that Dhoni possesses impressive self-control and maturity.
“Dhoni bhai created a very relaxed environment within the team. He is very chilled out. He only said things that needed to be said, and his presence was quite calm,” Dhawan said during ‘The Ranveer Show Hindi.’
He further added, “He is a very fun-loving guy. He is a very simple and down-to-earth person. He too is aggressive at times, but he restrains himself as he knows that it could spoil the environment. That’s his maturity. He has a lot of self-control.”
MS Dhoni has left international cricket back in 2020 but he has continued to be the captain of Chennai Super Kings.
The Chennai Super Kings will face the Mumbai Indians in their next match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday, April 8th. Meanwhile, the Punjab Kings will compete against the Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 9th at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
