IPL 2023: Mukesh Choudhary Is Out, 3 Pacers Who Could Replace Him In CSK Squad

It has been reported that Mukesh Choudhary, the fast bowler of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) team, may not be able to participate in the upcoming season of the IPL.

In IPL 2022, when the Chennai Super Kings team finished 9th in the points table, Choudhary was their most impressive bowler. He managed to take 16 wickets in 13 matches with an economy rate of 9.32. Fans were excited to witness the combination of Deepak Chahar and Mukesh Choudhary but unfortunately, it does not seem to happen.

Here are the three pacers who could replace Mukesh in the Chennai Super Kings’s Squad:-

1) Arzan Nagwaswalla- Arzan Nagwaswalla who is a swing bowler could be the best candidate for CSK to consider as a replacement for Mukesh Choudhary. While Nagwaswalla has not played in the IPL yet he has got attention with his impressive performances in domestic cricket. The 23-year-old left-arm seamer from Gujarat has played 18 first-class matches, taking 62 wickets at an average of 22.82. He also has 14 wickets from 13 List A matches at an economy rate of 5.20. Nagwaswalla’s ability to swing the ball and bowl tight lines could make him a valuable asset for the CSK pace attack in the IPL 2023 season.

2) Mujtaba Yousuf – Mujtaba Yousuf is a left-arm pacer from Jammu & Kashmir, has been in the circle of the IPL for a few years now but he has not been picked by any franchise. Yousuf is known for his ability to swing the ball both ways and has a range of variations. The 20-year-old has played 21 T20 matches in which he has picked up 20 wickets at an economy rate of 7.67.

3) Sushant Mishra – Sushant Mishra only played three matches in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and was not part of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in the recently concluded domestic season. Mishra hails from Jharkhand which is also the hometown of MS Dhoni.

Despite not having played any organized T20 cricket yet, Sushant Mishra has been on the radar of IPL franchises, credit goes to his performances in the U19 World Cup. He was drafted for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) squad as a replacement for Saurabh Dubey during IPL 2022.
