IPL 2023: Jos Buttler Breaks 11 Years Old Record, Smashed Fastest Fifty For RR

In the 5th match of Indian Premier League 2023, Rasjatan Royals set a score of 203 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. For Rajasthan Royals, Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and captain Sanju Samson got solid fifties and gave a terrific start to the team.

Jos Buttler scored 54 runs off just 22 balls with the help of seven fours and three sixes. With these innings, Jos Buttler has now registered the fastest fifty for Rajasthan Royals in the history of IPL. He got fifty in just 18 balls and broke the 11-year-old record of Owais Shah.

In 2012 playing against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Owais Shah got fifty in just 19 balls. Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal have also got fifty in 19 balls. Sanju Samson has achieved this feat in 2020 against Chennai Super Kings while Jaiswal as well did this against Chennai in 2021.

In this match, Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Bhuvneshwar Kumar won the toss and elected to bat first. Buttler and Jaiswal gave a cracking start and added 85 runs. After Buttler departed, Jaiswal carried the momentum with captain Sanju Samson.

For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Fazalhaq Farooqi and T Natarajan got 2-2 wickets each while Umran Malik grabbed one.
