IPL 2023: “Is it not written somewhere…” Eden Garden’s Pitch Curator Ferociously Commented Over Captain Nitish’s Complaint

Kolkata Knight Riders captain Nitish Rana raised questions about the team’s home ground pitch, i.e., Eden Garden. After this, the pitch curator of Kolkata has given his response to his statement. His statement clearly shows that he is not happy with Nitish’s statement.

According to the Indian Express report, he said that the IPL is not played for home advantage, and the captain can say whatever he wants. He further said that it is not written that the pitch will be prepared according to the choice of the IPL franchise.

Regarding the pitch, Sujan Mukherjee said there are many problems in front of us, which I cannot tell, and it is not so easy to change the Kolkata pitch. Regarding the rest of the teams, Mukherjee said that look at teams like RCB and Delhi Capitals, till now, they have neither spoken nor complained about the home pitch. These teams are playing on the pitch they are getting.

Nitish Rana, who is captaining the Kolkata Knight Riders this season, had said that the rest of the teams are enjoying their home conditions, but it is not so with us. KKR’s team has always got help from spin bowlers in Eden Gardens, but it has not been seen this season, after which Nitish made a statement about the pitch.

Kolkata Knight Riders is at seventh position in the point table of IPL 2023. They have 12 points in 13 matches with 6 wins. They will play their last match against Lucknow Super Giants at Eden Garden in Kolkata. The race for the playoffs for the KKR is looking tough; however, LSG must win this game to be in the race for the playoffs of IPL 2023.
