The 16th edition of Indian Premier League has reached an exciting stage where all the 10 teams from here can qualify into the playoffs. Officially none of the IPL teams are out of the race of playoffs and from fans to cricket experts, they are enjoying this epic rivalry between the teams.
The rivalry week started with the encounter of Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings at Chepauk where the Mahendra Singh Dhoni led side won the match by six wickets. Now, in the next game of the rivalry, the Delhi Capitals will face Chennai Super Kings at MA Chidambaram and this will be an interesting one to see as David Warner side is performing exceptionally well after the poor start of the season. They had a brilliant performance against RCB at Arun Jaitley Stadium.
Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh shared his views on the DC’s performance and said that winning two matches in a row must have boosted the confidence of the Delhi Capitals team. But, the main concern of Delhi is David Warner not scoring runs and this a great worry for the franchise.
While having a conversation at Star Sports, Harbhajan said,”Delhi Capitals’ confidence has increased after winning two consecutive matches but captain David Warner’s lack of runs in the last few matches is a cause of concern. Yes, some young players have come forward and taken responsibility but Delhi’s problem still remains where it started. They were at the last place then and still are.”
CSK is currently in second place and is expected to secure a place in the top four. The former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan has praised the men in yellow. He gave his warm words for Mahendra Singh Dhoni who is taking the team ahead with his excellent strategy and decisions.
“CSK is sure to qualify for the playoffs. Now CSK will try to make it to the Top-2. I always say that whenever any team comes to their home ground, ‘Chacha Chaudhary’ MSD closes the door of his stadium and thrashes the opposition mercilessly. CSK is a ruthless team and it deals with opposition teams in its own way,” said Irfan Pathan.

Former Indian batter S Badrinath, who has previously been associated with the CSK team thinks that CSK’s fast bowling department lacks experience, but MS Dhoni has managed them so well.
“CSK’s pace bowling attack looks pretty inexperienced and that is a concern. The bowlers will have to rise up but MS Dhoni has managed well with the resources he has,” added Badrinath.
Former Indian cricketer S Sreesanth supported Badrinath’s view regarding CSK’s fast bowling attack and added that MS Dhoni has the ability to bring out the best from the players.
Sreesanth said, “MS Dhoni’s biggest quality is that he brings the best out of the players. And if they don’t know, he’ll make sure they understand their strengths. When they get the backing of the captain and the team atmosphere is so good, players bring out the best in them.”
