IPL 2023 In Turkey? BCCI Opens On The IPL Date Next Year

ICC men’s T20 World Cup is going on and at the same time, the Board Of Control For Cricket In India – BCCI is planning for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

According to the claimed reports, BCCI is planning to conduct the IPL Auction house in Turkey. The auction before IPL 2023 is likely to take place around mid-December. Apart from it, the regular venue which is Bengaluru is also very much on the cards. This is the time the IPL committee wants to have a different place and Istanbul is very much the locked place. Talking about the auction, the tentative date of the event is on December 16. The newly appointed IPL Chairman Arun Singh Dhumal along with its members working on all the logistics and at the same time they are in talks with the franchises over this. At the same time, IPL is also slated to happen in the third week of March and it will be played till early June.

Earlier BCCI had thought to take this IPL auction overseas but it was never executed. Once, the venue was also decided to be the London but the franchises backed it out due to expense matters.

A report also suggests that BCCI is also looking to conduct a workshop regarding the auction and if the franchises fly to Turkey, their trip will atleast last for three four days.

All the franchises have to name the list of their released players by November 15. The auction purse for per team will be increased to 95 crores where it was 90 crores last year.
