IPL 2023: Dhoni Is The ‘Heart’ And ‘Best Person’, While He Is The X-factor Of CSK; Harbhajan Singh Praising Words For Yellow Jersey

Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni will once again captain the four-time IPL champion Chennai Super Kings in the upcoming edition. CSK’s opening match is scheduled to take place on March 31 in Ahmedabad against the defending champions, Gujarat Titans led by Hardik Pandya.

Meanwhile, the former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has been named the biggest strength of the Chennai Super Kings. Bhajji served the yellow jersey back in 2018 and 2019 and he knows the team in and out. While describing the most dedicated and heart of CSK, the former Indian spinner came up with the name of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He also termed the former Indian captain as the ‘best person’ to talk to.

While talking on Star Sports, Harbhajan Singh said, “The biggest strength of this team is MS Dhoni. He is the heart of the team.”

He further added, “He knows the team very well and he is probably the best person to get the most out of each player in the team. CSK’s biggest home advantage is their crowd. The crowd boosts the morale of the team. The CSK crowd is such that even if the team loses or wins they will always back them.”

During last year’s IPL, Dhoni’s fans were surprised when CSK announced Ravindra Jadeja as the team’s new captain. However, Jadeja dropped himself from the captaincy midway through the tournament, and the reins were handed back to Dhoni. Despite this, CSK’s performance during the IPL 2022 was below par, as they finished ninth in the points table.

According to Harbhajan, Jadeja holds the designation of being the best all-rounder in the world, and his contribution as an X-factor will be crucial for CSK in the upcoming season.

“The one person who everyone should keep an eye on is Ravindra Jadeja, especially how he bats for CSK. He may be promoted up the order plus he has his four overs,” said Harbhajan.
